Spring Surf Camp with NZ Surf n Stay
Location: Williamson Park, Whangamata
Date: 11to to 13th of October 2021
Time: 10am to 2pm
Age: 8 to 14 years old
Intro
This school holiday camp is a mixed actives camp develop along side our sister company Surfsup.The aim is to develop water skills within the kids while having fun.
Each day will include a different activity:
>Day 1: Surfing and activities including balance boards, exercise balls and games.
>Day 2: STAND Up paddle board on the Estuary and eco walk with beach clean up.
>Day 3: Wildlife sanctuary kayak and bbq at Island View reserve park.
We will be encouraging a new outlook on how they view the ocean and the earth we call home with an ECO friendly point of view throughout the camp to encourage the next generation to protect our playground!
Your child will be leaving with new skills and confidence, and as a keen outdoors explorer in the making!
What to Bring in your bag:
> Packed lunch and drink bottle (pocket monies optional)
> Sun Cream 30+-50+ and Zinc (to be pre applied and have for re applying)
> Wetsuit and Surfboard (Own equipment can be used or supplied.)
> Hat and towel
> Wax and wax comb
> Life jacket if you have one
Day 1
9:45am Meeting @ Williamson Park
10am to 12pm Surf lesson
12pm to 12:30pm lunch break
12:30pm to 2:00pm Training and surf drills, including balance excercises
Day 2
9:45am Meet @ Island View road
10am to 12pm Sup
12pm to 12:30pm lunch break
12:30pm to 3:00pm Eco walk with beach clean up and selection of what we have found
Day 3
9:45am Meet at Surf n Stay
10am to 12pm Surf lesson
12pm to 12:30pm lunch break
12:30pm to 2:00pm Wildlife Sanctuary kayak and bbq
